Can I replace an old hood with a newer version of the hood?
I have a 1998 Mitsubishi Galant, and I kinda want to update it. I want to add a body kit and everything but i want to see if i can get the 1999-2003 model stuff to fit on it. I know I would have to get everthing new - like the headlights and etc. I just want to know if its possible or even worth it with 114,000 miles. and if this is not the best way to fix it, then what would be a good way ? can i redo the bumper and etc with pieces of other cars ? just asking.

Mitsubishi Galant Does Body Kit Scrape?
Hi, My name is Parker and I am going to buy a car next march. I only have about 3200 dollars lol but I want a cool car that will be impressive at the high school lol. My brother wants me to get a Mitsubishi galant because he wants to help me put a body kit, carbon fiber hood, new rims, and a few other things on it. But what I am worried about it the body Kit. The pictures online that I have seen of the body kits look like it only has about 3-5 inches between the body kit and the ground. That really worries me because what if I go up an incline, speed-bumb, bump a kirb? These are things that I have been REALLY worried about, I mean could I even be able to go up my driveway??? Please answer
Uh, body kits or even cars without body kits only scrape if you lower your car (slam it). Most standard lowering springs, however, generally lower the car 2" in the front and 1.7" in the back (inches)..if you stay stock or go with a lowering kit like from Eibach, you should be fine...you'd only have to be carefull going over speed bumps and entering steep driveways,.

I recently bought a 1992 Mazda Mx-6 and i had a look on ebay and can only find parts for it from 1993 and upwards. I was wondering if it was at all possible if these 1993 parts would fit my 1992 model car? Eg; Head lights, tail lights, body kits etc. Thanks.

Parts are so inexpensive in many cases that it's best to buy from your local auto parts suppliers where you can easily return them if it's the wrong part or defective.

1998 Honda civic Ex....?
My 1998 Honda civic Ex has 90 thousand miles on it. It's black with a body kit which has red mesh, AEM cold air intake, Full exhaust system LOUD, Red underglow and red washer nozzle neons, spoiler, short shifter, The car runs perfect, the transmission is flawless....How much should i sell it for HONESTLY????
The unfortunate problem is that most of the time the upgrades installed on your car do not make the car worth more, Unless you have a turbo or supercharger. The fact is that alot of people are not interested in a car that been messed with. I was trying to sell my stock 2000 civic coupe 5-speed with 82k for $7000 which is $500 below blue book value. I got absolutely no responses. It sat on a busy road for about a month and a half. I kept lowering the price till i hit 6000 and i still got only a few people to stop and look at it, but no one was serious about buying it. If you tried to sell it for $5000 or $5500 it would probabaly sell pretty quick, the main problem is that there are similar civics all over craigslist for like $2000, so good luck
Maybe try to sell it on ebay......

How do I install a mesh grille in my car?
I've already established that I'm not going to pay the price to get a precut square. Not only is it expensive, but I will still have to cut it myself. I'm going to Lowes tommorrow and buying some gutter mesh, which is the same thing, except I will have to paint it which is okay because I want it black.
Okay, now I had a really time getting it into my buddy's S-10, we ended up melting the plastic and pushing it in (that's how it was before and it held up fine). My car won't do that. I have to find a way to get the mesh to stay on both the plastic grille between the headlights (Mustang) and the intercooler airducts on the fiberglass body kit. I've been told to use silicone, but I don't know.

hi, go to your local auto parts store and ask them if they have any 3M adhesives, like panel adhesives that will stick to all three materials. That is, aluminum, plastic, and fiberglass. I think there product #8115 will work, but they may have something better. The most important thing to get it to stick to is the plastic and the fiberglass and aluminum should'nt be a problem. If you follow the directions on how to prepare the materials it should stick on there forever. Good luck, Gramps

Ok. I know what half the people who read this are already thinking. Yes i do relize street racing is dangerous and no, I have no intention on actualy racing. Its just street cars are nice and i would like to get a stock car and fix it up to look good on top and under the hood. I mean body kits, paint, hoods, engine parts, and the whole thing. I have found a cheap car that i do like its a nissan 300zx with twin turbo which comes stock but im just wondering what other cars yall would suggest besides a honda civic.

Can you use a car designed for drifting, for draging as well?
i have a 1998 dodge neon and i was thinking about moding it out for drifting but i also like dragging. are cars designed for drifting street legal in the U.S.? ive already put money into the interior and i have a new body kit and paint job but i need to know what parts to buy for the drifting/draging... if the two work together. i have already bought headers and new chromed exhaust pipes with a strait flow muffler and it sounds great but im not sure about the drifting parts i know i need some chasis and suspenssion. i would be greatful to any fellow racing nerds to hit me up and let me know... thanks..

how difficult is it for a newb to add a body kit to a car?
Hey i just purchased a 2008 yaris hatchback (not the Sport)
And it looks kinda plain, i was wondering how difficult it would be to add side skirts and such to make it look a bit less girly...
any one have any links and how difficult would it be.

the front bumper is not hard to take off at all. (infact you need to remove it to change a headlight bulb). bodykits are a pain to put on, they never fit right, parts need to be sanded down, or fiberglassed or bondo'd on. if you do go with any kit try to get polyurathane. fiberglass cracks easily. and its much easier to handle polyurathane. first test fit the peices, bolts and all, then do your adjustments, sanding etc.. then take the body kit off and paint it then place it back on
