Installing Side Skirts
i'm having problems with a bmw 325 i . its a 93?
the engine cooling fan is hitting the protective shield and blades are braking off. should i just remove the shield and replace the fan. I also need to find a good body shop to install fiberglass side skirts and paint them for a decent place in the metro detroit area. Anyone can help me out?
You should buy a new fan and new fan shroud. You don't want to just take the shroud off and have none, the absence of this protective fan shroud may cause personal injury or cause even more damage to the cooling fan. Also make sure you have all the fan shroud mounting bolts and that the mounting holes aren't damaged if they are that may be the reason for the initial damage. So you may also have to get a hardware kit to accompany the new fan and shroud. As far as the body shop goes I am from Baltimore and have never been to Detroit, sorry about that.
