Body Kit Explorer Sport Trac
Painting parts of my truck.?
I drive a 2002 ford explorer sport trac. anyone who has seen these know they have a gray plastic kind of body kit aorund the bottom. i was wanting to paint over it to match the black body paint. maybe not as glossy as the body but at least black. i was wondering if anyone knew any good auto body paints i could buy that would work great to paint over the plastic and not chip off?
I would actually recommend the spray paint you can get for Plastic lawn furniture. It Chemically bonds with the plastic I have had painting done in shops on that kind of plastic and it chipped only a year later. If you want auto motive paint,. The big autoparts retailers have basic colors for around 50 bucks a gallon which is an great price. Just remember to sand and prime first that should get it to stick.
