Body Kit Civic Sir
How can I instal these foglights on my civic?
I have an 04 Civic SiR hatchback with the factory body kit package. I bought some fog lamps with the entire assembly and switch, wiring that comes with it. They are the ones that are made for that car but in my research I found that with the factory body kit, you cannot install the fog lights as the lower front plastic grill piece is all one and the fog lights cannot go in unless you remove the plastic grill completely and then have none, or cut the end pieces off so the fog lights can go in. In any case, does anyone have experience with this?
is it held on with tabs or screws? I will have to cut it because the port holes for the fog light pods are blocked off by the grill. Not sure how to go about that...
First, ensure that your fog lights can fit inside the far left and far right of your lower grill.
Your lights should come with mounts, screw them onto the lower grill and mount.
In the case that your fog lights do not fit, you may need to do some minor cuttings around the mount points on the lower grill.
As a final note, removing your lower grill isn't a big problem. I've removed mine and have replaced it with a metal mesh.
