2003 Nissan 350z Body Kits Which of these engine mods are illegal in Indiana?
I will be attempting to have the legal modifications installed on a nissan 2003 350z and I don't know a lot about cars so if one doesn't make sense just tell me y or that it doesnt make sense and not to be mean but im not looking for opinions of the car, upgrades, or a lecture on why not to be a street racer unless accompanied by an answer
1.Catback dual exhaust
2.Twin turbo, with waste gaits and blow off valves
3.An aftermarket performance chip
4.A basic body kit, nothing fancy partially for aerodynamics partially for style
5.putting in dual overhead cams
6.using a lowering kit, how low depends on if anyone can tell me the regulations
7.Tinted windows, I'm not planning on putting these in just wondering if tinted windows and windshield are illegal

1. Catback exhaust is legal.
2. Wastegates have to be plumbed back into the exhaust before the catalytic converters to be legal. Blow off valves are useless on a street car. Twin turbos for the most part aren't going to be street legal with a couple exceptions.
3. You don't chip a 350Z. You flash tune the ECU. It would be necessary to turbocharge it. Otherwise you will blow up the weak engine.
4. Body kits aren't illegal, and it will be 100% for style unless you spend the money for one that's actually been wind tunnel tested. And I wouldn't spend the same amount of money on some pieces of fiberglass or urethane as you did on the car.
5. It's already dual overhead cam.
6. Google your states headlight and bumper height requirements. Too low makes the car handle like crap, ride like crap, and you won't get over a speed bump. In combination with your body kit, you probably won't make it over most speed bumps anyways.
7. Tinted windows are legal up to a certain percent, which varies by state. Windshields cannot be tinted below the AS1 line at the top.
A better route:
Vortech supercharger, 50 state legal and 3 year warranty.
Coilovers - worth their weight in gold over a "lowering kit" which is nothing more than shorter springs.
Stock replacement cat-back exhaust, easier to install and makes just as much power.
I haven't seen any emissions legal aftermarket cams for that car, but they may exist.
Chips are what you eat now.
As for good modifications, it's a decent track car, not a drag car. Don't spend so much time trying to make power. Enhance what it's good at instead. Upgrade the anti-sway bars and end links. New clutch and lightweight flywheel. Get a good lightweight battery and such. Get good tires. These things will make the overall car much more fun to drive than an overpowered 350Z. Mustangs are expected to handle poorly, so a massively powerful mustang that handles like a truck is expected. A 350Z doesn't have that same reputation.
